Memorial Blood Centers (MBC.ORG), a division of Innovative Blood Resources (www.innovativebloodresources.org), has been saving and sustaining lives since 1948. We supply blood and blood components, state-of-the-art laboratory services, and biomedical expertise to area healthcare partners, national blood centers, biotechnology companies, research institutions, and international clients. Operating 10 donor centers and conducting hundreds of blood drives each month, we are proud to be an independent nonprofit that supplies over 30 area hospitals and more than a dozen air ambulances with life-saving blood—from our community, for our community.
To ensure that donor screening, automated blood collection procedures (including Double Red Cell, Plasma, Platelets, and Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells a.k.a. HPC) and Whole Blood Collections are done in a manner that is consistent with current clinical practices, compliant with all regulatory requirements and result in safe products that maintain safety, quality, identity, purity, and potency for patients and donors, and provide exceptional experiences for donors. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude. Works together with the Operations Supervisor, Op Lead and team to ensure teamwork and smooth operations.
Schedule: Variable schedule
Donor screening. Determines vital signs and eligibility.
Perform Whole Blood and Automated blood collections (Double Red Cells, Plasma and Platelets).
(May include special collections and research collections.)
Perform HPC collections, assist with HPC screening and HPC program management as assigned
Provide Customer Service including pre/post donation care and other care as needed.Provide customer service and care with a focus on anticipating needs and providing exceptional service.

HS Diploma or equivalent
Completion of double red cell training at blood bank or other health-care facility
Minimum 1 year of experience or the equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Required to regularly stand, use hands, reach with arm, talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, stoop, crouch, and kneel. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
