Founded in 1948, Memorial Blood Centers (MBC), operated by New York Blood Center Enterprises, is one of the largest community-based, nonprofit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States. MBC operates 10 donor centers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin and provides blood products, accredited reference lab services, infectious disease testing, and IVF/Reproductive Medicine services to 41 area hospitals. What you’ll do:

• Prepare and Process: Work with multiple collection bags to produce high-quality blood components, following all SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Document and Log: Accurately prepare and maintain documents and l electronic information related to receiving, processing, and labeling blood products.
• Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and that your work environment is safe and organized.
• Manage Storage: Oversee the storage of various blood products, ensuring proper conditions, in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Label Blood Products: Label products acceptable for transfusion by following SOPs and using our Blood Establishment Computer System (BECS) 
• Package and Ship: Handle the shipping and packaging of products for research and discard, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

What you'll need:

• High School Diploma/GED (some college science courses preferred)
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Computer skills preferred
