Responsibilities

Summary:

This position assists the collections staff at centers and on blood drives with routine duties to ensure product safety and blood collections efficiency.  Schedules and registers donors, prepares and performs other office duties such as supplies and inventory.  Assists with opening and closing duties.  Provides excellent customer service to NCBB donors and guests.]

 

Schedule: Full-time. variable schedule: Monday - Sunday.  Hours vary bewtween 6:30am - 7:30pm. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as receptionist and provides donors and guests with courteous and efficient service.  Maintains record/log of all guests and vendors to facility.
  2. Greets donor upon arrival, directs donor to sign in and read required pre-donation materials, and asks donor to setup their next donation appointment.
  3. Registers homologous, hemochromatosis, autologous and directed donors. Accurately completes donor demographic information and correctly assigns donor identification number.
  4. Responsible for assuring smooth and timely transition of donors from registration to screening by communicating with staff to decrease donor wait time.
  5. Maintains confidentiality of donor information and ensures computer access security.
  6. Provides accurate and timely filing of donor histories.
  7. Calls appropriate donors based on inventory needs. (Understands minimum requirements for donor recruitment and donor deferral guidelines.) Calls donors as needed to remind them of an upcoming appointment.
  8. Oversees donor entrance appearance and maintains donor canteen area.
  9. Maintains neat and orderly donor area and assists donors to ensure a quality donation experience.
  10. Maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all office supplies. Performs inventory check and requisition of office supplies.  Verifies accuracy of received supplies, unpack and store items.
  11. Conducts oneself as a professional, promoting the image of NCBB, the spirit of team work and willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

 

Other

Minimum 1 year experience in telemarketing and/or customer service

Valid Nebraska Driver’s License
